The blu-ray player BDP-S590 from Sony is connected to the TV via HDMI, which provides high-quality image and sound. You can connect wired to your local network and stream a program or download software updates online, as it has ethernet. The device has an analog output for sound as well as a digital output digital audio coaxial. The coaxial output resembles the analog RCA but differs in resistance and the fact that it requires only one cable for the transmission of the audio signal. The set of connections is completed by the analog output composite video (or CVBS). The composite video connection transfers, through a cable, an analog video signal only, with standard definition image quality.
