
Michael Pollan
Michael Pollan was born in 1955. He grew up on Long Island, New York, and studied at the University of Oxford and Columbia University. He has served as a professor of journalism at the University of Berkeley and has been a regular contributor to "The New York Times Magazine" since 1987. Highly acclaimed, he is considered one of the most important thinkers of our time and is particularly known for his progressive views on nutrition. His works include "The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World" (2001), "Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals" (2006), "Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual" (2010), among others.
