
Ageliki PSaki - Kovaiou
Angeliki Psaki - Kovaiou, a poet, lyricist, and prose writer, was born and raised in Amorgos. She studied Business Administrative Support Organization and Operations at a vocational institute in Athens, alongside Modern Greek Literature. From a young age, she has been involved in poetry and prose, contributing articles to newspapers and magazines. She combines poetry with songwriting, and her lyrics have been set to music by composer Giorgos Despotidis in two albums titled "O Panagia of Amorgos" and "The Moon of My Soul." Additionally, her work "Cyclades" has been performed by the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra under the direction of Andreas Pylariños.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Union of Writers, serving as the Curator. She has been recognized in national poetry competitions, winning first prize in three of them. In the 26th Delphi Poetry Competitions organized by the Panhellenic Union of Writers in 2011, she was awarded first prize for her poem "Apollonian Unfading Light." She has participated in numerous literary competition judging panels. She has studied poets of the Interwar period and delivers lectures. Additionally, she curates and presents the works of contemporary poets.
Her works have been included in the Encyclopedia of Modern Greek Literature by Haris Patsis and various anthologies. Her writing is characterized by lyricism, sensitivity, and transcendence.
