CHristos Koutoulakos

Christos Koutoulakos was born in Athens and holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, with postgraduate studies in E-commerce and Computer Science from Kingston University in the UK. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Pedagogical Department of the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE). He has eight years of professional experience in the industry, where he worked as an installer and maintainer of electrical installations and as an electronics programmer. He also has 20 years of teaching experience, primarily as a laboratory instructor at educational institutions such as the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, the Sivitanidios Public School of Arts and Professions (Vocational High School, Vocational School, IEK), apprenticeship schools of the OAED, and the Ministry of Defense Schools S.M.Y.N and S.E.T.T.H.L. He is also a certified adult educator in the fields of Information Technology (system designer, analyst, and programmer), Electrical and Electronic Engineering - Telecommunications, and is the operational manager of the Asynchronous E-learning Hub at the Sivitanidios School (www.elearn.edu.gr). He has developed, coordinated, and participated in 50 different weekly training seminars at universities, companies, and training organizations in European Union countries, utilizing actions from community programs. He has authored books for the Ministry of Education and the Pedagogical Institute for Secondary Technical Education with titles: a) "Introduction to Automation" b) "Electrical Energy and Environment" c) "Special Electrical Installations I" d) "Special Electrical Installations II" and for the open market: a) "Electrical Automation" b) "Elevators - Escalators" Additionally, for the Sivitanidios School: a) A 300-page notes package on "Laboratory Exercises for Electrical Machines." b) A 100-page notes package on "Laboratory Exercises for Power Electronics." c) Two issues - models of virtual enterprises in the Electrical Sector for the implementation of the EPEAEK project of the Ministry of Education, "Creation of Virtual Enterprises in T.E.E," for all geographical regions of the country. His articles have been repeatedly published in technical trade newspapers "Electrician" and "Installer," in the magazine "Ecology," and the English technical magazine "KNX." He has been awarded the 1st prize by the European Commission in a pilot European program and the 1st prize by the State Scholarship Foundation for exemplary implementation of Leonardo da Vinci mobility action programs. He has also received two commendations from the Ministry of Education for his contribution to Technical-Vocational Education.
