Konstantinos Zarras

Konstantinos Th. Zarras was born in 1964 in Lamia. He is an associate professor in the Department of Theology at the School of Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His area of expertise includes Judaism, the Second Temple period (theology and literature), and the mystical Judaism of the Throne and the Palaces of God, which was also the subject of his doctoral dissertation. His research and writing fields encompass Judaism, the Jewish background of the New Testament, the issue of heavenly ascent and the transformation of the hero into an angelic entity, Jewish-Christian relations, prayer in Judaism, the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient, medieval, and post-medieval mystical Judaism, as well as the relationship between internal Mandaean texts and mystical Judaism. His latest work: "Talmud" (Ennoia, Athens, 2015).
