
Dimitrios Tzouvaras
Dimitrios Tzouvaras was born in Florina in 1975. He is a Physical Education teacher specializing in soccer and holds a UEFA B diploma. He was an athletics athlete for "G.A.S Florina" and the "Serres '93" club, and a soccer player for "Ermis Amyntaio." Since November 2016, he has been a Sports Program Officer at Samaritan's Purse, Head Coach of the "Chelidonia" team, and a coach for the U-14 team at the "Ermis Kalamarias" soccer academy. In the 2015-2016 season, he volunteered for the planning and tactical analysis of the Apollon Kalamarias team. During the same season, he was the coach of the men's team "Dinos Kouis" (B' amateur category) and the club's youth sections. In the 2015-2016 period, he volunteered, in collaboration with Yiannis Tsaniklidis, in the observation/analysis/evaluation and the planning of training and tactics for the women's soccer team P.A.O.K. under Alexandros Katikaridis. In the 2014-2015 season, he was the coach of the U-14 team of "Aris Thessaloniki." During the 2014-2015 period, he volunteered, in collaboration with Yiannis Tsaniklidis, in the analysis of Superleague games for the Metrosport newspaper. In the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons, he was the coach of the U-17 team of "Apollon Kalamarias" in collaboration with Apostolos Pappas. From 2012 to 2015, he was the technical director of the model academy "A.O. Proteas." He served as the technical director at the "Filotas Soccer Academy," coach at the Vasilis Hatzipanagis soccer academy, and in the soccer academies of the "Mandoulides" educational institutions. In 2004, he studied the structure and operation of the Dutch soccer school, following an invitation from Yiannis Samaras (then technical director of the Dutch Heerenveen). From 2000 to 2004, he volunteered for the observation, analysis, and evaluation of games and players in the elite player games of the E.P.S. of Western Macedonia, under the supervision and guidance of Leonidas Vosdos (then selector of the national soccer teams). Since 2000, he has been a fitness coach for the "Theseas Lechovou" (A' amateur category) and "Ermis Amyntaio" (D' national category) teams. He collaborated on the creation of the book "F.C Barcelona: Tactical Training for 34 Tactical Situations," which was awarded by the Italian federation and Arrigo Sacchi. He is the author of the book "Annual Training Planning for Soccer Academies" and the book "Annual Training Planning for Competitive Sections U17, U19, and Men's Teams," in collaboration with Yiannis Tsaniklidis. He is the translator of Athanasios Terzis's books "Juventus 3-5-2 Training" and "Marcelo Bielsa: Training the Development of Play from Defense Against Pressing Teams," as well as Michalis Tsokaktsidis's book "Transition Training."
