Barbara Cantini

Barbara Cantini was born in Florence in 1977. She studied animation and worked as an illustrator for various television series on Italian state television (RAI) until 2011, when she won the "Illustrator of the Year" award. Since then, she has collaborated with American, British, and Italian publishers in this specialty. "Mortina" is the first book she has both written and illustrated. Barbara lives in the Tuscan countryside with her husband, two daughters, three cats, and her fearless hamster.
