Agathi Dimitrouka

Agathi Dimitrouka (Pentalofos Mesolongiou, 1958) lives in Athens and works as a lyricist, author, and translator. In 1974, she connected her life with the poet Nikos Gatsos, and in 1976, she began writing lyrics for Manos Hadjidakis. As a lyricist, she later collaborated with younger composers, while also starting to translate—from Spanish—texts for literary magazines, song lyrics for records, and books. She conducts lyric-writing seminars at Anoihti Techni and presents contemporary poetry from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America in the online magazine Chartis. She is the heir of poet Nikos Gatsos and oversees the publication of his works.
