
Caryl Lewis
Caryl Lewis is a Welsh author of books for adults, teenagers, and children. She has been honored twice with the Wales Book of the Year award. She has written extensively for television and film, even adapting her own novel, Martha, Jac A Sianco, for the big screen—a film that won six Welsh BAFTAs and the Spirit of the Festival award at the 2010 Celtic Media Festival. Her television work includes Welsh-language scripts for the internationally successful bilingual crime series Y Gwyll/Hinterland, set in Wales and broadcast in more than twenty countries. Lewis is also a visiting lecturer in Creative Writing at Cardiff University. She lives with her family on a farm near Aberystwyth, Wales.
