Pothiti CHantzaroula

Pothiti Chantzaroula was born in 1966 in Athens. She studied Classical Philology at the University of Athens, pursued postgraduate studies in the History of Labor in Britain at the University of Warwick, and completed her doctoral dissertation in modern history at the Department of History and Civilization of the European University Institute in Florence. She has taught at the Department of History, Archaeology, and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly, at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Athens, and at the Hellenic Open University. Currently, she is a lecturer in Historical Anthropology at the Department of Social Anthropology and History of the University of the Aegean. She has published studies on the history of labor, the history and historiography of gender, as well as the history of the Holocaust. Her research interests also include the relationship between memory and history, oral history, and the concept and historicity of testimony.
