
Anastasios A. Stefos
Anastasios Agg. Stefοs was born in 1938 in Kokkinomilia, Istiaia, Evia. He holds a degree from the Department of Philology of the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens and from the Department of Legal and Economic Sciences at the University of Thessaloniki, as well as a doctorate in Classical Philology with honors from the Sorbonne University (Paris IV). He served as a teacher, principal, and school counselor in Athens and the provinces and taught for many years at the Varvakeio Model School. He pursued further education at the Secondary Education Teaching School in Athens and Paris, as a scholarship recipient of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He has published works in educational and philological journals and has translated scientific studies and articles from French. Since 1988, he served as Vice President and in 1999 was elected President of the Panhellenic Association of Philologists (P.E.F.). He serves as a school counselor in Piraeus and is the deputy director of the Regional Training Center (P.E.K.) of Piraeus.
