Giannis Patilis
Giannis Patilis was born in Athens in 1947, with roots in Perista, Aetolia-Acarnania. He studied law at the University of Athens and later pursued philology (Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies) at the same university. He worked as a trainee lawyer, an employee of OPAP and the Hellenic Post, as a translator, and as an editor for the encyclopedias "Papyros-Larousse-Britannica" and "Domi." Since 1980, he has been working as a philologist in public secondary education. He was a co-founder and co-publisher, up to the third issue, of the magazine "To Dentro" (1978) and co-founder and co-publisher of the magazines "Kritiki kai Keimena" and "Nisos: Mousiki kai Poiisi" (1983-1984). Since 1986, he has been publishing the literary magazine "Planodion." His poems have been published in numerous magazines and anthologies in Greece and abroad. He is a member of the Society of Authors.
