Giannis THomaidis

He holds a degree and a doctorate from the Department of Mathematics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a teacher at the 3rd Unified Lyceum of Stavroupoli. He also teaches the methodology of teaching mathematics in teacher training programs at the Pedagogical Institute. His research focuses on the relationship between the history and didactics of mathematics, and his related work has been published in Greek and international journals. He was a member of the writing team for the educational package "Euclidean Geometry for A & B Lyceum" (student book, solutions book, and teacher's book), which won first prize in the Ministry of Education competition in 1999. In the spring of 2000, his book "Didactics of Euclidean Geometry," co-authored with A. Poulos, was published by Ziti Publications.
