Emmanuel Todd

Emmanuel Todd was born in 1951. He is a historian and anthropologist, a researcher at the French National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED), and has focused particularly on studying the impact of family structures on the development of modern societies. Almost all of his books have garnered critical attention and sparked significant public dialogue. Notable works include "La chute finale" ("The Final Fall"), which as early as 1976 announced ''the disintegration of the Soviet sphere,'' "Le destin des immigrés" (1994), and "L'illusion économique" (1999).
