Eykleidis Tsakalotos

Euclid Tsakalotos is a professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He was born in 1960 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. From 1965 to 1993, he lived in the United Kingdom, where he studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Oxford and the University of Sussex. He taught for four years at the University of Kent. Since 1993, he has been living in Greece, and since 2010, he has been a professor at the University of Athens. He has published books and articles in academic journals on topics of political economy, macroeconomic policy, and the philosophy of economic science. His research interests include macroeconomics, political economy, and the philosophy of economic science. In the parliamentary elections of March 2004, he was a candidate in the Preveza region with the Coalition of the Radical Left. At the Coalition's conference in December 2004, he was elected as a member of the central political committee. He contributes articles to "Avgi," "Epohi," and "Eleftherotypia."
