Anastasia Kalantzi - Azizi

Anastasia Kalantzi-Azizi is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Athens. She is the Director of the Psychological Counseling Laboratory at the University of Athens and the Director of the Postgraduate Specialization Program in Clinical Psychology at the same university. She serves as the Scientific Director of the Institute for Research and Behavioral Therapy and the Awareness Cycle in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. She studied Psychology at the University of Vienna and completed her dissertation in 1972 on "The Problem of the Child in the Hospital" at the same institution. She specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Vienna as a state scholar and worked for five years as a full-time Psychologist at the Psychological Service of the Municipality (and federal state) of Vienna. She returned to Greece in 1977 and worked privately as a Clinical Psychologist-Psychotherapist. In 1981, she was appointed Curator of the Experimental Psychology Laboratory at the University of Athens, and in 1997, she was elected Professor of Clinical Psychology. She is the Scientific Director of the Institute for Research and Behavioral Therapy and the Awareness Cycle in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Vice President of the Hellenic Society for Behavioral Research, Vice President of the Society for Mental Health of Children and Adolescents, a Board Member of the Scientific Association New Education, a Lecturer-Therapist and Supervisor of the Austrian Society for Behavioral Therapy, a Founding Member and National Representative of Greece in FEDORA-Psyche, and Director of the Psychological Counseling Laboratory and the Postgraduate Specialization Program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Athens.
