Martha Nussbaum

Martha Nussbaum wurde 1947 in New York geboren. Sie studierte Theater und klassische Studien an der New York University (NYU) und absolvierte ein Graduiertenstudium in Philosophie an der Harvard University. Nachdem sie in den 1970er Jahren Alan Nussbaum geheiratet hatte, konvertierte sie zum Judentum und taufte ihre Tochter Rachel, die derzeit Geschichte am Evergreen State College lehrt. Heute hat sie den Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics Lehrstuhl an der University of Chicago inne.
