Kostas Tsivos

Kostas Tsivos is an Assistant Professor of Modern History and the Head of the Department of Modern Greek Philology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. He teaches modern Greek history and contemporary Greek reality at both the Faculty of Arts and the School of Humanities in Prague. His research focuses on the history of political refugees, the Civil War, and the contemporary crisis in Greece. He studied journalism in Prague (1987) and completed his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Social Sciences (2011). His articles and books have been published in Greek, English, and Czech. He has also translated works of well-known Czech authors into Greek.
