
CHaralampos Minaoglou
Charalampos Minaoglou holds a Ph.D. in Modern History from the Department of History and Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and serves as the director of the Model High School of the Ionideios School of Piraeus. He was a scholar of the Onassis Foundation and the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He has worked at the Institute of Neohellenic Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (Pandektis Program) and at the Center for the Study of Modern Greek History of the Academy of Athens.
He has published five books and dozens of scientific articles in Greece and abroad. He served as a member of the Special Synodal Committee on Cultural Identity of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. His research interests primarily focus on the period of Ottoman rule, particularly the spiritual life of Greeks, Greek travelers, Greek historiography, the Phanariots, the Greek Revolution, anti-Hellenism, and ecclesiastical history
