Giorgos Mayrogordatos
George Mavrogordatos was born in Athens in 1945. He holds a degree in Political and Economic Sciences (1967) and a Law Degree (1969) from the University of Athens. He earned an M.A. in Political Science from Purdue University (1972) and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (1979). His book "Stillborn Republic" was honored with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation Award in 1984, the highest distinction of the American Political Science Association. He has taught Political History and Political Science at the University of Athens and at various foreign universities as a visiting professor.
