Epikouros

Epicurus was born on the island of Samos in 341 BC and died in Athens in 270 BC. He founded his own philosophical school, which he called "The Garden," as it was housed in an Athenian garden. Although his teachings were considered particularly provocative at the time, they had a significant impact on the philosophical thought of humanity.
