Dimitris E. Soldatos

The poet Dimitris E. Soldatos was born in Lefkada in 1969. After 2000, he collaborated with the newspaper "Ta Nea tis Lefkadas," serving as the editor of the column "Poem of the Week," as well as contributing numerous articles on cultural and sociopolitical topics. He played a leading role in organizing the first Sappho events at Cape Lefkatas in 2009 and was actively involved in the campaign to preserve the Sikelianos House, aiming to transform it into a museum. He also discovered, preserved, and donated to the Lefkada Public Library the table on which Kostas Karyotakis wrote his last poems in Preveza. He has published the poetry collections: "Nonexistent," 1988, "Living Dead," 1989, "Handbook for Lovers," 2003 (not for sale), "Café Retro," 2004 (Lambros Porphyra Award from the Academy of Athens), "Nobel Due to Artlessness," 2008, "Nobel Because of Artlessness," 2009 (translation of some poems into English), "X(e)ilia Disticha," 2010, "LIKE-BLACK or Muse Lefkad(ia)," 2010, "Ending from Everything," 2012 (not for sale), "For Women Who Love Poetry," 2012 (not for sale).
