And what could be more beautiful and enjoyable than playing video games with your other half! I'm not saying it's not nice to play alone or online with others, but the feeling of having someone next to you and needing to cooperate to finish or compete to win is incomparable!

So, I've made you a super list of the top games you can play while lounging on your couch, with whoever you love! Shall we take a look?

~~ Platform Video Games ~~

Lego

We start with the Lego franchise, the games (there are many, over 20) are small masterpieces! Based on famous movies like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, and many others, you literally won't get bored playing. Mini puzzles, breaking everything to collect money, movie-based storyline, countless characters, and a variety of different abilities that each of them has

2. Rayman Legends

And we continue with platform, next in line is the top and multi-awarded Rayman Legends!

You will play, laugh, search, run and above all enjoy the game from start to finish. It is top-notch, guaranteed worth the money, get it and you will love it for sure, you and your friends!

3. Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Third on our list is Playstation exclusive, so if you don’t have one it’s really a chance to buy the coveted console!

Fantastic designs and vivid colors, excellent music, easy gameplay, teamwork at its best, the game will give you and your friends many hours of joy and fun. 

4. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Fourth and final platform game, and this time exclusive from Nintendo. 

The classic Wii U Super Mario 3D World game is now also coming to Nintendo Switch, only this time it comes with the extra content Bowser’s Fury so you can enjoy it even more. You will love it for its gameplay, it has top-notch climbing and power-ups, in amazing and thrilling levels that will keep you hooked. 

~~ Action Adventure ~~

1. It Takes Two

It takes two to tango says the wise saying, and in this case, it indeed takes two to finish this dreamy game. 

Created exclusively for co-op, it is a captivating adventure with stunning visuals and graphics. Played in split-screen and facing constantly changing challenges, cooperation is the only way to progress!

2. A Way Out

The saying goes that prison bars are for the brave. In this case, the game is a cooperative adventure where two inmates aim for a daring escape from prison. 

What starts as an exciting escape quickly turns into an unpredictable, emotional adventure, unlike anything you've seen or played before. Get it now before it sells out!

~~ Simulation ~~

1. Overcooked

And we continue with the next category of games, this time Simulation. The Overcooked 1+2 games are fantastic to play with up to 4 players.

The goal of the game is quite simple, you just cook, serve, and wash dishes as quickly as you can! Of course, the game is not simple, as the game progresses the recipes become more difficult and you need to have an excellent level of cooperation and communication with your teammate.

2. Moving Out

In the same style, this time instead of cooking, it’s about moving. Yes, the goal of the game is to collaborate as best as you can with your teammate to move all the furniture, boxes, armchairs, chairs, sofas, beds, and anything else you can imagine as quickly as possible!

Just like the previous one, here you can also play with up to 4 people from the same couch! Madness!

~~ Turn-based tactics / Strategy game ~~

1. Worms

Like the two previous games on our list, we continue with the legendary Team17, which has given us yet another game that, no matter how many years pass, remains top-notch.

What could be better than worms armed with all kinds of weapons? From bazookas to baseball bats and from grenades to exploding sheep, the first game was released in 1995 and continues to captivate to this day. Up to 6 people can play, for ultimate destruction!

~~ Kart Racing ~~

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe innovates and gives you the ability to drive beyond the road, on walls and ceilings, defying the law of gravity. It will offer you endless hours of gameplay, while a huge variety of tracks, vehicles, and characters make the game surpass anything you have ever seen in previous games of the series!

~~ Fighting ~~

1. Mortal Kombat

Beloved Mortal Kombat, when it was first released in 1992, no one could have imagined what would follow. With a total of over 26 games, live-action movies, and animation movies, it surely does something right!

No introductions needed, the game is clearly made for brutal combat and gore fatalities. The end!

~~ First & Third Person Shooter ~~

1. Borderlands

Well, okay! What can you say about these AMAZING GAMES! Action role-playing, first-person shooter looter, unique in its kind! You choose one of the 4 heroes, each with their own abilities and skills and the quest begins!

You kill the bad guys, collect weapons and ammo, complete the main mission and the side quests, it has incredible aesthetics in its graphics, it has a story, it has top-notch quotes and fantastic gameplay. Divine!

2. Gears of War

We continue our list with a third-person shooter this time, and an Xbox exclusive. On a planet that is being raided by gigantic and powerful alien monsters, you must survive and save whatever can be saved.

And yes, there is a story; it is not just relentless pew-pew, which continues and unfolds in each game, with twists and thrills you would never expect in a game of this kind.

3. Resident Evil 5

Heading towards the end of our list, we have the first co-op third-person shooter game from the beloved Resident Evil series.

The hero Chris Redfield returns, this time in Africa where a disturbing incident of biological terror has been reported, transforming humans and animals into psychotic zombies. Puzzles, incredible monsters, and a strong finale, the game is a masterpiece that requires communication and cooperation with your partner to complete.

4. Left 4 Dead

And we close with first person shooter survival, again a Xbox exclusive. Here we don’t have a story, we have weapons, we have 4 characters to choose from (for purely aesthetic reasons, they don’t have any special abilities), we have endless zombies and 4 super-powerful infected-zombie types, and of course we have relentless pew-pew!

With 4 and 5 campaigns in the first and second game respectively, each campaign includes about 6 levels and downloadable extra content. And of course you can play the same levels again and again without getting bored for even a second!
