The ideal jeans for you if you have curves!
Timeless, versatile, and perfect for every season and occasion, from a morning stroll to a night out for drinks, jeans are a staple in every woman's wardrobe.
Finding the ideal style is inherently difficult. Now add a curvy body into the equation and you have a problem that seems unsolvable. Are there really jeans that highlight curves? After many years of thorough research, I present to you my detailed guide to finding the perfect jeans for your curves.
The most beautiful jean styles for curves
The most flattering jeans for “pear” and “hourglass” body types are undoubtedly high-waisted (high rise), as they accentuate the waist and the hips. But which style exactly is ideal?
Bootcut
Narrower at the thighs but wider at the bottom, Victoria Beckham’s favorite jean style is extremely flattering for your body type. It “hugs” the curves, highlighting your hourglass silhouette.
Extra Tip: To make your body look taller, complete your look with a pair of pointed boots.
Wide Leg
Wide leg jeans, that is the wide jeans that often end in a "bell-bottom", are among the most flattering styles for all body types. The difference between them and flared or bell-bottoms is that the wide silhouette characterizes the entire jean, not just the bottom, making the legs appear longer.
Extra Tip: Wear a belt to accentuate your waist and add extra style points to your look.
Extra Tip No.2: Pair your wide leg jeans with a more fitted top or shirt, so you don't "lose" your waist and body shape.
Skinny
I know, I know! Gen Z, don’t come for me! Skinny jeans, that is, very tight jeans, are not in fashion. However, no one can deny how flattering they are for curvy bodies. And to be honest, skinny jeans can still "work" today, paired with the right clothes, aka more oversized knits and tops, chunky sneakers, or (why not?) over-the-knee boots.
My advice? Choose a high-waisted skinny jean made from soft denim that won't squeeze your buttocks and make them disappear. On the other hand, avoid the overly thin jeggings (jean+leggings) of the past that highlight every "imperfection" of the body.
Extra Tip: Opt for a dark-colored jean, such as indigo blue or black, and complete your look with a pair of high-heeled pumps to flatter your silhouette even more.
The ideal fabric
If you want a pair of jeans that is comfortable and hugs your curves, following the lines of your body, then I suggest you look for a piece with enough elasticity, that will become "one" with your body, without squeezing your thighs or leaving that annoying gap at the waist.
