And yet, as I discovered a few years ago, there is a way to achieve the same professional result at home - as long as we have the right tools. And THE right tool - especially for those of us who can never manage to coordinate a hairdryer and a round, wide brush - is none other than the SteamPod 4 by L'Oréal Professionnel. About two years after buying it, I think I can now give a complete review, answering your question about whether it is ultimately worth it or not. Spoiler alert! It is worth it!
What is the SteamPod 4?
It is a professional steam styling tool, with which you can achieve perfect straightening, waves, and curls. This particular version features wider ceramic plates for easier straightening, allowing us to get 30% closer to the root for a more flawless result. It is worth noting here that it reaches up to 210 degrees!

What makes the SteamPod4 stand out is the fact that it is more “friendly” to the hair. As it styles the hair with the power of steam, it causes 95% less damage, while leaving it twice as soft. Additionally, it styles the hair three times faster, and the final result lasts significantly longer.
Personally, I have never achieved better straightening with any other tool, and it is equally effective for blowout looks: I turn the ends inward or outward with the SteamPod 4 and then wrap my hair around rollers until it cools down.
To buy or not to buy?
In my opinion, if you straighten your hair often or if you have "difficult" hair (e.g., very coarse curly hair), it is definitely worth investing in this tool, as it will give you the best possible, smooth, and professional result very quickly. On the other hand, if you rarely style your hair with hot tools, such an investment may not be necessary, and you might be able to "make do" with a regular hair straightener.
