First Aid Kit for Young Children

First Aid Kit for Young Children

When you have young children, one of the first things you prepare before going on vacation is the first aid kit.

This particular box, can be a large toiletry bag, but it must be waterproof and not easily opened by little curious hands...

Essential products for the first aid kit

My boys are always running, falling, and usually injuring their knees and hands. That's why I always carry with me, large sterile gauzes, a special disinfectant spray for wounds, betadine, and hansaplast in spray form.

Sometimes when they are in pain and crying, they refuse all these products. So, I discovered a little trick. I give them a vial of saline solution and they apply it to the wound themselves.

Then, I apply a hansaplast sticker with cartoon characters that makes the wound more fun for their little eyes!

Many of these injuries will turn into bruises. It is essential to have a special cream that reduces swelling and soothes inflammation in the affected area. A cream with arnica is ideal.

Some slightly deeper injuries may need better care, and for this reason, there are adhesive stitches.

For milder injuries, I apply a small amount of wound healing cream for faster healing.

Essential in the first aid kit is an anti-mosquito cream, as well as a cream ideal for insect bites, jellyfish stings, and contact with nettles.

Because little ones touch everything and sometimes small accidents happen, I always carry with me a cream or spray specifically for burns. Many times, if their sensitive skin gets red from the sun, I apply the same cream.

I'm sure they will take countless dives and their eyes will turn red, or it will be windy and sand will get in... One solution is saline solution. However, there are also sterile single-use wipes for the eyes and eyelids.

Useful extras

I never leave the house without applying children's sunscreen with a high protection factor on little faces and hands.

Some days after swimming, we sit at a tavern for our lunch. Disinfectant spray, a disposable toilet seat cover, and baby wipes are essential if the little ones need the toilet.

It may seem excessive, but I always carry with me in small travel bottles, children's body wash, children's moisturizing face and body cream, children's lip balm and small towels.

Finally, a thermometer, to check their temperature if I feel that their forehead is a little warm.

This particular first aid kit is a large toiletry bag that I always keep in my bag... Even when we go to the playground!

Before we leave for summer vacation, I first pack my own toiletry bag with the essential care and beauty products

Right after that, I prepare the first aid kit for my boys.

I check the expiration dates of the products and replace anything that has run out…

Now, I feel ready to deal with anything that may happen during our summer vacation and to enjoy these unique moments in peace...
