4 Tips for Choosing the Right Gaming Chair
Are you a gamer and thinking that it's time to upgrade and get the right chair so you never feel uncomfortable? Good idea!
It's not difficult, you just need to look at 4 basic things:
1. Seat Back
It is very important that the back of the chair fits properly to your waist. Every person is different, so the curve of our spine may not fit correctly in all chairs. If the chair is in two parts, then choose one where the height of the back can be adjusted or moved back and forth to fit you properly. In case the base and the back are one part, it is recommended that the back can move back and forth with a locking mechanism to stabilize it where it suits you.
2. Armrests
Armrests are the official term for the arms of the chair. In gaming chairs, it is very important that they exist and that their height can be adjusted to suit your needs. They help to rest our shoulders and muscles from the weight of our arms.
3. Height and footrest
Of course, the chair will have adjustable height, but depending on your desk you may need a footrest. To avoid future lower back pain, it is recommended that your legs, both at knee level and at the pelvis, be at a 90° angle and your feet rest firmly on the floor. That’s what footrests are for!
P.S. Heated footrests have also been released for winter!!
4. Seat Material
Here you need to look at 2 things. First, the seat cushion should not be too soft because with use it will “sink” quickly. Prefer a firmer, more supportive cushion. The second thing you need to look at is the material of the cover; you need a material that allows your skin to breathe. Faux leather, for example, is not recommended and is usually used in businesses only for the design. So prefer a porous or cotton material.
Okay, you’ve learned the basics and now you’re ready to make your choice!
But I want to be the little devil on your shoulder and tell you that since you’re going to get a new chair anyway, don’t you want one with RGB lighting… ;)
