Clear- MPPT: The most advanced and efficient technology, which maximizes the energy harvested from the panels (up to +30% efficiency). Ideal for large residential systems and areas with cloudy weather.
- PWM: The simplest and most economical option, which, however, has energy losses as it simply "drops" the panel voltage to match the battery. Ideal exclusively for small needs (e.g. caravans, small holiday homes).
- Hybrid: A special controller that can simultaneously manage two different energy sources (usually photovoltaic panels together with a small wind turbine) for charging batteries.
- 12: For small/basic battery systems * Usage: Ideal for camping, boats, caravans, and standalone LED lighting.
- 24: For medium / typical off-grid systems * Usage: The standard choice for standalone vacation homes (refrigerators, televisions, small appliances).
- 48: for large systems & permanent residences * Usage: Designed for high demands, daily use of household appliances, and large inverters.
- 10A: Small systems (up to 120W at 12V) * Usage: Camping, standalone LED lighting, security cameras.
- 20A: Medium systems (up to 240W at 12V / 480W at 24V) * Usage: RVs, small cottages, device charging.
- 30A: Popular choice (up to 360W at 12V / 720W at 24V) * Usage: Typically off-grid cottages for a small fridge, TV, and lights.
- 40A: Demanding installations (up to 520W at 12V / 1040W at 24V) * Use: Larger systems or for future panel expansion.
- 60A: Large systems & homes (up to 800W at 12V / 1600W at 24V) * Usage: Off-grid houses with daily appliance use.
