FIFA Quality Pro: The top standard with the strictest tolerances, for zero water absorption in the rain and absolute stability in the ball’s flight trajectory in the air.
FIFA Quality: Medium-level certification with high standards for durability, proper balance, and bounce at a much more affordable price.
FIFA Basic: For amateur use with guaranteed quality for academies, schools, and training sessions without exceeding the budget.
Heat-sealed: Zero water absorption (they don’t get heavier), perfectly spherical shape, more stable and predictable flight through the air, as well as a softer touch, but with a high purchase cost.
Machine Sewn: Low cost, ideal for casual play. The seams are more superficial and exposed, and they absorb water easily.
Handmade: Durability over time and on hard surfaces, but the seams absorb more water, causing them to become heavier in the rain.
Hybrid: Excellent value for money, with very good water resistance and great durability, ideal for everyday training sessions in academies.
Butyl: They retain air for weeks without needing inflation, but have a slightly firmer feel when struck.
Latex: Extremely soft feel, top-level bounce, and complete stability in flight. They have pores and lose air gradually, so they need to be inflated before every match.
