Filters
Clear- Self-Inflating: It does not require a pump to inflate, but it inflates on its own by 90% as soon as the air valve is opened, while you will need to add a little air with your mouth. Its thickness ranges from 2 to 8cm and provides very good insulation on cold ground.
- Foam: Suitable for basic use without risk of damage. However, it takes up quite a lot of space.
- Inflatable: It offers good insulation and comfort, but it is a bit heavier compared to other types, and care is needed to avoid punctures.
- Single: They have a width of up to 65 centimeters and are designed for one person, with an emphasis on easy transport.
- Semi-double: It has a width from 65 to 110 centimeters. It is suitable for one person who wants more comfort and space to stretch out, or for occasional use by two people of small build (depending on the tent).
- Double: It has a width from 110 to 140 centimeters. Designed to comfortably sleep two adults.
- Double (140-155cm): It has a width from 140 to 155 centimeters. Designed for two adults who want maximum comfort and space, or even for a small family (e.g. two adults with a small child).
- King Size (>155cm): It has a width of 155 cm or more. Ideal for very large family tents (such as tunnel or glamping types), as it occupies a huge area on the floor.
- R-Value: Indicates how well a sleeping pad insulates from the cold ground. The higher the value, the better the insulation and the warmer you stay in low temperatures. For very cold conditions, you will need an R-Value of 4 or higher.
- up to 2: Suitable for temperatures from +10°C and above, with a thickness of less than 3cm. Recommended for summer use.
- from 2.1 to 3: Suitable for temperatures from +5°C to +10°C, with a thickness ranging from 3 to 5cm. Recommended for use in spring/summer.
- from 3.1 to 4: Suitable for temperatures from 0°C to +5°C, with a thickness ranging from 5 to 7cm. They are 3-season and therefore recommended for use in spring/summer/autumn.
- from 4.1 to 5: Suitable for temperatures from -5°C to 0°C, with a thickness ranging from 7 to 10cm. Recommended for use in autumn/winter.
- From 5 and above: Suitable for temperatures below -5°C, with a thickness of 10cm. They feature insulation and are recommended for heavy winter and Alpine conditions.
