Όχι.
Δεν δεχεται ουτε κασετες ουτε cd απο προηγουμενα μοντελα, αλλα διαφορα παιχνιδια ( Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon κ.α) θα βγουν και σε Nintendo Switch Versions. Προφανως θα μπορεις να κατεβασεις και αλλα παιχνιδια online.
Από το βίντεο φαίνεται πως θα είναι ποιο μακρόστενες οι κασέτες. Όποτε λογικά δεν θα δέχεται. Και θα είναι το μέλλον και του Wii U και των 2DS και 3DS.
