Description & Specifications

For almost a decade, many societies in the affluent West have been stuck in a state of dystopia, in the negative "utopia" of an economy that makes impoverishment endemic, and one can easily imagine the big crash that will lead everything to a dead end.

At the same time, however, we are in a phase of peculiar transition during which different economic logics exist. We live in a capitalism with crises that are becoming increasingly acute - but at the same time perhaps in a "post-capitalism," without yet fully realizing it.

Read an excerpt

A specific scenario prevailed: that supposedly states managed their finances irresponsibly. That is why the money ran out. Therefore, everyone had to tighten their belts and make economies. A end had to be put to the sickly economy of debt. This was truly an astonishing trick in the whole discussion, as after the 2008 financial crash, almost no one blamed the states for the crisis. It was clear to everyone at that time that banks and other financial institutions had mismanaged, had looted properly, had accumulated risk upon risk, literally building a house of cards that became increasingly unstable until it collapsed.
