The Yuasa NPL38-12I VRLA battery is of AGM type and is suitable for discharging a large percentage of its capacity. It is fully rechargeable and designed for long-term durability.

AGM type VRLA batteries are not designed for engine starting or prolonged high-current draw.

Rechargeable VRLA batteries are used for energy storage for daily use. They can be discharged from 45% to 75% of their capacity. The ability for deep discharge is due to the thick lead plates that withstand corrosion.

Due to the completely sealed construction and gas recombination within the cells, the battery requires almost no maintenance and can be installed in any position (excluding continuous use with the battery inverted). VRLA batteries are versatile and suitable for cyclical or service applications.

VRLA batteries are ideal for UPS, alarm systems, telephone centers, telecommunications, and many other industrial applications.

Yuasa has applied its 80 years of experience in the lead-acid battery field to create the optimum design in sealed lead-acid batteries. All Yuasa batteries use a unique electrolyte suspension system that incorporates a fine fiberglass mat to maintain the maximum amount of electrolyte within the cells.

The electrolyte is retained within the separator material, so no electrolyte escapes from the cells. The extremely low self-discharge rate allows the battery to be stored for extended periods of up to one year at normal ambient temperatures without permanent power loss.
