Description & Specifications

The Kaiafas is a summer journey to the southwestern coast of the Peloponnese. A solitary man unexpectedly encounters a pitch-black, large, proud dog on a beach after Patras. He takes him along, ignoring the contact number engraved on his collar.

The two struggle to vacation, camp, and tour. Eventually, the man decides to work at a seasonal tavern near Lake Kaiafa and to live a beautiful, normal life as an employee, always having the dog by his side. He realizes, perhaps for the first time, the healing power of love and dreams of a carefree and peaceful coexistence with the charismatic four-legged companion.

However, these dreams, like other dreams he had in the past, will be shipwrecked. With his fantasies, he rounds and beautifies everything, in a desperate attempt to escape from himself and not succumb once again, perhaps for the final time, to his true calling: the anguish and excess.

Self-staging and willfully blind, he becomes trapped in his own obsessions and heads, designating those around him as guides and controllers, to where he is truly destined.
