The MXL DX2 is the first dual capsule dynamic microphone that allows sound recording from both capsules simultaneously with the ability to mix their signals. It is ideal for amplifiers and sound cabinets and features a potentiometer that adjusts the balance between the two capsules for more detailed sound customization.
On the front flat side of the DX2, the microphones are positioned to touch the surface of the amplifier, while on the back side there is a potentiometer that determines from which microphone the recording will be made and their balance. The first capsule is large with a cardioid pattern, while the second is small with a cardioid polar pattern.
The sound of the first is full and warm, while the sound of the second has high detail and clarity in the mid and high frequencies. Its high SPL rating ensures that you will capture any sound source needed, no matter how loud, without any distortion.
