Third time I buy these as a gift. Many people write that this particular Razer product has issues. The conclusion I have reached is that it depends on which unit you get; the 2 headsets I had did not show any problems, but after about 2 years, one of them lost contact between the cable and the right side of the headset and produced no sound at all. Nevertheless, I find them extremely comfortable.

I've had these for 2.5 years, these are the last Krakens that came out before they switched to the new ones with the cheap materials. I see a lot of people saying that after a while pieces come off the design on the top side, Krakens were always like that, get them with your eyes closed before they go out of stock :)

Amazing construction. I've been using them for over 4 years. It's not true, they are wonderful, after 3 years the cushions were peeling. When I asked the company, they sent me new ones for free. Very good respect for the customer.

It's good but very heavy. After a few hours, they become very tiring. They are very heavy and have already started to peel at the top part that touches the hair after 3 months. I got them as a replacement (warranty) for the kraken x that broke like for all of you in three months. these don't break! but they do wear out.... suddenly the left one stopped working after 1.5 years. I simply won't deal with warranty or with razer again! that's it! I opened it up to see, but you can't find a solution..... for the trash!

VFM, the most valuable headphones in their category. They lack a bit in bass and the microphone is a bit low, but they have a very good volume control and overall they don't tire out in extended use (8+ hours).
