    I’ve been wearing this style of boots since 1989, and Commanchero are the best I’ve ever tried.
    I had the black ones for 10 years, and now I’ve bought the light brown ones and, months later, the dark brown ones. The quality hasn’t just stayed the same—it’s actually improved! Thicker leather, a much better insole, and a fantastic, soft sole (I had to take the first pair to a cobbler to have a set fitted because the underside was hard and made long walks difficult). I simply took off the straps.
    Just like the first pair, these haven’t rubbed anywhere. Just so you know, you need to go one size up from what you normally wear, and they benefit a lot from a gentle application of grease (it softens them and enhances the color). Comfortable for walking outdoors.
