I am a student and in my free time I assemble/repair/upgrade computers. I love tools and what one can achieve with them.

I bought it to start a collection of both household tools and to have it with me on vacations, trips, and outings.

It is sturdy, the handle hurts if you apply force, but it is not pliers, it is a pair of pliers, so I consider it reasonable. It does not have any play, no matter how much I tried to make it move left and right as someone else wrote in the reviews.

Because I liked it so much and because I wanted to have it with the rest of my collection as soon as possible, I sat down and removed the knife with a little effort to make it legal. I heated the screw with a lighter for about 1 minute and then unscrewed it. This way it is purely a multitool and you don't have the stress while also not losing the 25-year warranty.

The negatives, if you want, that I managed to find are the following:
• It may need lubrication to soften a bit in its locks and make the openings/closings more harmonious and not so aggressive.
• Also, depending on the use again, one may want to tighten the screws of the internal tools a little more as in my opinion they were always slightly loose - maybe it was just my idea.
• The ruler is too small (2.5cm) but at least it exists. If you need a larger one, look for more expensive models (Wave, Rebar, etc.)
• The file behind the ruler is also too small. Literally, you will need to file for days if you need to "eat" half a centimeter of wood.

The only reason I didn't go for the Rebar at €5-10 more is because I found it difficult to remove its screws to take out the knife and have it as a knifeless EDC. If you don't care about removal, go for that one as for the same money you have something much better!

Use I make: non-professional, household, computers, minor repairs on electrical appliances

It could be the best for everyday use, but its quality is the same or even worse than cheap Chinese multitools. Specifically, the first time I used the straight screwdriver, it bent, even though I didn't force it. The springs that hold the tool in the closed and open position break immediately in some cases, but mine broke after a few months of normal use. The finish of the pliers is laughable, I had to sand it with sandpaper so it wouldn't look so bad. If you don't have long fingers or palms, you will find it very uncomfortable when using the pliers because it opens too much and the handles are short and have sharp protrusions. The file is like the ones on nail clippers and very short. The scissors, although large compared to others, have a bit of play that I don't like, and sometimes it can be frustrating because you have to squeeze it tightly when opening it for the spring to work. The clip to attach it to the pocket has play on both sides, no matter how tight you screw the screw that holds it. The whole multitool in the closed position has unjustifiable play that makes it look like a cheap imitation. Also, I had issues with rust on the file and pliers. Finally, if it had the quality and precision that Victorinox offers, it could be the best for everyday use. Perfect as an idea, terrible in execution-quality. Finally, for those who are researching to buy a multitool, having tried the Wave, which constantly pinched the flesh of my palm and I sold it, I recommend the Victorinox Spirit X as the best I've ever had! It not only has perfect quality and ergonomics, but also has more and much better tools. Leatherman = Fancy but flawed. Victorinox = A real tool for use.
