Owner of a Godin a6 ultra electro-acoustic guitar since 2010, all these years something was missing in the sound.. I've tried tube preamps, pedals and effects, etc. This year, after watching some videos on YouTube, I decided to try the BOSS ad-2, and I can say it's exactly what I've always been looking for...

It's not a classic acoustic instrument preamp with gain, volume, EQ, etc.

It has a notch filter for controlling potential feedback, a knob for adding depth (ambience) to the instrument, and finally it has the acoustic resonance which eliminates that annoying plastic sound that piezo-electric pickups have and makes the instrument sound more natural..
Now I don't think I can play guitar without the Boss ad-2.

It operates on a 9v battery or power supply, and has a balanced TRS output. Classic sturdy metal construction from Boss.
