AGM Technology: Peak power for maximum performance

In batteries with AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, special micro-glass fiber layers are interposed in a very dense arrangement between the lead plates of the battery, enclosing all the battery acid. The high pressure compensates for the loss of active material when there is very low internal resistance.

Thanks to the faster reaction between acid and plate material, larger amounts of energy can be delivered in demanding situations.

Bosch batteries systems

In passenger vehicles that are factory-equipped with AGM batteries, AGM batteries must be installed again when replacing the battery. Otherwise, the operation of the Start/Stop system and its beneficial effects will be negatively impacted. The battery lifespan is reduced.
