A Samsung 1 TB 860 EVO betrayed me, the dealership was terrible. This is the replacement, fair in cost and reliable.

Excellent product for upgrading from HDD to SSD, although I had bought it 1.5 years ago at a very good price (23 euros)

I bought it for a 15-year-old Turbo-X with a Core 2 Duo, 16GB DDR3 RAM, and a 1TB HDD belonging to my girlfriend, who was extremely patient waiting for it to boot up so she could replace it, but the BIOS just won't detect it at all to proceed with the software installation.
Theoretically, it's DOA and I'm waiting for the store to check and replace it to see how the next one will perform..

Works just fine on a 15-year-old Sony Vaio VGN FW41 with WINDOWS 10pro. Keeps alive a laptop that under other circumstances I would have thrown away... Okay, not for games and other demanding tasks but for browsing, office use, etc

It is not the fastest but it has good compatibility with old laptops, I wanted to replace the disk in an old Fujitsu laptop. At first I tried a Patriot, it didn't recognize it at all, not even with a cable to the USB. I installed this one and it recognized it immediately and installed Windows 11.

slow like a hard drive and in terms of reliability it is negative. I only used it for internet with 2.55tb writes and 97% health and the one time I needed to transfer large files, it transferred them at 300kb/s from a certain point onwards. not worse. they make incredible flash drives but ssd and kingston don't go together

I have it for 1 year now and it works great, I keep games on that ssd and operating system on the other one.

I installed it in my oldest PC as a second hard drive, the main one is an NVMe Evo 990 pro so it runs super fast and I just wanted a second one to store game recordings so that both the operating system, games, and recordings wouldn't be on the same drive. Since it didn't support a second NVMe, I had to install an SSD.

I'm perfectly happy with it, I didn't run any benchmarks to check speeds but it works flawlessly, loads games just fine, and doesn't lag anywhere.

I installed it, turned on the computer, and disc management recognized it and it works perfectly.

Obviously, I don't know how long it will last, I just got it, but I have two Samsung SSDs that are about a decade old and they still work.

Okay, I just got it and I think it's fine because it runs at good speeds and works properly, now it's not 960GB but okay, it reads as 870 for me

I have installed it on a 10-year-old HP laptop, with Linux Mint, and it works without any problems. It gave a new lease of life to the laptop.

-This is the 960GB.
-It was recognized by the BIOS without issues, and then followed the GPT initialization in disk management.
-The 5 stars are given in advance due to the comments I read here, that Kingston sends a replacement with a screenshot in case of a problem.
-It has a more simplified process compared to WD, which requires a return overseas at the customer's expense.
-Coming from a recent WD self-destruction due to problematic firmware, I believe it is a fair budget option.
-The speeds range between 500 and 600MB/s in sequential write/read. Depending on the device the files are exchanged with, the speed may be lower in some cases, but this is normal.

I have had it since 2020. After countless gaming sessions and many other tasks, and always almost full, I believe that the purchase I made was worth it. Of course, it has now been replaced with an m2 and I don't use it as a system drive anymore. This particular one, at this given time, is aimed at people who are stuck with an old computer and want to do basic things. If your computer has the capability to take an m2, it goes without saying that you will prefer that one. The reason is that the speeds of this particular SSD are 10 times lower compared to an m2 from the same company (and almost at the same price)

I installed it on my mother's laptop, an 8-year-old HP with an AMD A8, 8GB RAM, and a 1TB HDD that we had a funeral for, because the laptop got acquainted with the floor. Therefore, we are talking about an economical emergency solution and not high demands.

In less than 2,000 hours of operation, it overheats (with very simple use it reaches 65 degrees when the corresponding Samsung has 35 in the same case and raises latency to 15,000ms.. I bought it due to lower cost for secondary use but really disappointing with so little use...

I bought this specific SSD to upgrade an old laptop with an HDD, and it finally took a breath. I tested the speeds and everything worked correctly as advertised, and after about 3 years it remains just as fast (although it hasn't been stressed, everything I downloaded when I got it is still there without adding anything else) the software is incredibly fast and the programs are equally so. Very satisfied with my purchase and I will turn to the same company for future upgrades

Maybe I'm lucky with Kingston SSDs since I have 4 and none of them have had any issues.

I just added an additional A400 120GB for the operating system (SATA-III speeds in the second photo),
replacing a Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB which reached 20,000 hours and I now have it in a USB 3.0 enclosure for file transfers only.

It has been working non-stop for 3.5 years without any problems or decrease in speed/performance...! Combine it with a tiny11 operating system and it will elevate any forgotten or non-functioning computer

I started working with SSDs in general 5 years ago and since then I haven't thought about going back to HDDs. As for this specific one, it is reputable, it is as fast as it claims, and no matter how many formats you do, its performance will not decrease like a mechanical hard drive

In November 21, I bought a used hp 250 notebook g3. This laptop has a 500GB Western Digital HDD. I had no complaints until I did the first format on the 23rd, the computer started to have issues as it constantly wouldn't recognize USBs and took a long time to open. I didn't pay much attention as I deleted some files, but the difference wasn't very noticeable. Sometime in October, our HDD said goodbye. My laptop showed signs that the hard drive was not healthy and that it would need to be replaced. So I did, I bought this specific disk and after 2 months of use, I can say that the differences are noticeable, the computer opens in seconds and the programs even faster, it's definitely worth the money and more

For its price, it is good! Whoever is looking for a fast storage drive to revive an older machine or laptop and make it perform better, this drive is just what you need... of course, there are better options but not at this price!
