I use it in a VW turbo direct injection for 90k of which 60k tuned, usually in this car I change it due to time and not mileage.
It is the only oil that is not consumed on long trips, it has a lower evaporation rate and higher evaporation temperature than all the branded ones I have used, proven in practice and not on paper, which in any case not all companies state clearly or in the same way to be comparable...
Whatever else I have tried from time to time after 3k on trips it starts to consume - evaporate. In the city with daily use, more or less they all behave the same in terms of consumption.
I have an aftermarket catch can and it is the only oil that collects the least vapors, I empty and clean the filter diaphragms once every 2 changes without having collected any significant amount of vapors. With others, at 7k along with the oil change I have to empty it because it is almost full.
From change to change I never need to top up with other lubricants, I only need to top up at 7k if I do trips.
I have seen similar behavior in the normal family 1.8 tsi stock but also a friend told me about the 20vt he has with an upgraded engine in all areas since he uses it after my recommendations.

Παρόμοια συμπεριφορά έχω δεί και στο νορμάλ οικογενειακό 1.8 tsi stock αλλά μου έχει πει και ένας φίλος για το 20vt που έχει με βελτιωμένο κινητήρα σε όλους τους τομείς εφόσον το χρησιμοποιεί μετά από δικές μου προτροπές.

I can't say if it's better or worse oil than others because you see the effects over time and only if you have tried something else can you make a comparison. However, the car is a Renault with a tuned engine at 280 PS and from the first day I bought it, I have been using ELF. Regular oil changes at 7000 to 8000 km and respect for the engine's operation until it reaches normal operating temperature. 200,000 km and the engine runs smoothly 18 years after its purchase!!! I wouldn't risk changing to something else...
Δεν μπορώ να πω αν είναι καλύτερο ή χειρότερο λάδι απο άλλα γιατί τις επιπτώσεις τις βλέπεις σε βαθος χρόνου και εφόσον έχεις δοκιμάσει και κάτι άλλο για να κάνεις σύγκριση.Ωστόσο το αυτοκίνητο ειναι Renault με κινητήρα tuned στα 280 PS και απο την πρώτη μέρα που το αγορασα χρησιμοποιώ το ELF.Τακτικές αλλαγες λαδιων στα 7000 με 8000 χλμ και σεβασμός στη λειτουργία του κινητήρα μέχρι να ερθει σε κανονική θερμοκρασία λειτουργίας.
200000 χλμ και το μοτέρ λειτουργει smooth 18 χρονια μετα την αγορά του!!! Δεν θα ρίσκαρα αλλαγή σε κάτι άλλο...

Με άλλα στα 7κ μαζί με την αλλαγή πρέπει να το αδειάσω γιατί έχει σχεδόν γεμίσει.
Από αλλαγή σε αλλαγή δεν συμπληρώνω ποτέ με άλλα λιπαντικά χρειάζεται να συμπληρώσω στα 7κ αν κάνω ταξίδια.
Παρόμοια συμπεριφορά έχω δεί και στο νορμάλ οικογενειακό 1.8 tsi stock αλλά μου έχει πει και ένας φίλος για το 20vt που έχει με βελτιωμένο κινητήρα σε όλους τους τομείς εφόσον το χρησιμοποιεί μετά από δικές μου προτροπές.
Στις φωτογραφίες είναι η ποσότητα αναθυμιάσεων μετά από 3 αλλαγές και περίπου 25κ χιλιόμετρα.

Παιδιά καλησπέρα. focus diesel 1.6 109 hp, δεύτερη φορά (δεν ξαναβάζω κάτι άλλο) ELF 900 SXR 5-30W κι ο κινητήρας δεν ακούγεται πολύ αισθητή η διαφορά!!! είδα διαφορά στην κατανάλωση σχεδόν 1 λίτρο στα 100χλμ. κινητήρας με 250.000χλμ. επίσης συμπληρώνω λίγο λάδι στις 5.000χλμ περιπου 500γραμ και μετά αλλαγή στις 7500 με 8000. με ότι άλλο έβαζα είχα την διπλή κατανάλωση λαδιού δλδ 1λιτρο+
I can't say if it's better or worse oil than others because you see the effects over time and only if you have tried something else can you make a comparison. However, the car is a Renault with a tuned engine at 280 PS and from the first day I bought it, I have been using ELF. Regular oil changes at 7000 to 8000 km and respect for the engine's operation until it reaches normal operating temperature. 200,000 km and the engine runs smoothly 18 years after its purchase!!! I wouldn't risk changing to something else...
Δεν μπορώ να πω αν είναι καλύτερο ή χειρότερο λάδι απο άλλα γιατί τις επιπτώσεις τις βλέπεις σε βαθος χρόνου και εφόσον έχεις δοκιμάσει και κάτι άλλο για να κάνεις σύγκριση.Ωστόσο το αυτοκίνητο ειναι Renault με κινητήρα tuned στα 280 PS και απο την πρώτη μέρα που το αγορασα χρησιμοποιώ το ELF.Τακτικές αλλαγες λαδιων στα 7000 με 8000 χλμ και σεβασμός στη λειτουργία του κινητήρα μέχρι να ερθει σε κανονική θερμοκρασία λειτουργίας.
200000 χλμ και το μοτέρ λειτουργει smooth 18 χρονια μετα την αγορά του!!! Δεν θα ρίσκαρα αλλαγή σε κάτι άλλο...

Good engine performance. It burns much slower compared to other 5w40 oils on the market. I would say it is a reliable oil. I will stick with it.

Έχω στην κατοχή μου ένα Renault Laguna 1.6 '05 με 131000χλμ. Έως τώρα πάντα με λιπαντικά της elf,δεν έχει κάψει ούτε σταγόνα λάδι ο κινητήρας. Το συγκεκριμένο (elf evolution 900 5w-30),το χρησιμοποίησα πρώτη φορά 12/17-12/18 με εξαιρετική ικανοποίηση και ο λόγος που επέλεξα την αγορά του για 2η φορά είναι προφανές!

It required higher revs to get power, and once I replaced the oil with Shell Helix HX8 I could hear a massive difference. Cruising on the highway dropped my revs from 3k RPM to 2.4k RPM, its insane what a difference it made and even gear changes with the auto/CVT box was improved.
Would not recommend this for a 20xx Nissan Note at all.

I have put it in a Renault Megane 2 1600 16V with gas, as an oil it is fine, but it burns the 5w40 a little!!
I will check it also with 10w40 and will write again.
