The Knipex 77 02 115 diagonal cutter is designed for electronics work and cuts soft wire with a diameter of 0.3–1.6 mm, medium-hard wire up to 1.2 mm and hard wire up to 0.6 mm. The handles allow gradual discharge of static electricity, while the box-joint has no play and the low-friction double spring makes opening and closing easier.

The handle covering has ergonomic contours for handling between the thumb and index finger. The polished head is protected against corrosion by a thin film of oil, while the cutting edges are additionally induction-hardened to at least 66 HRC.
