The SuperSub series includes the best subwoofers from GoldenEar. These are high-performance subwoofers that are also remarkably compact, incorporating many advanced and unique technologies. The goal was to create small-sized subwoofers with beautiful and elegant design, capable of producing low-frequency pressure at high volumes, while providing accurate performance at low frequencies. Both models are powerful and musical.
The SuperSub models feature a unique 360-degree speaker with dual balanced inertias and a sub-bass radio, combined with an advanced electronic package. With two separate active speakers horizontally and two passive radios vertically, the connection of the speakers with the space is achieved more smoothly, resulting in stronger bass, which is not usually achieved with a single subwoofer.
The electronic packages that use the SuperSub matrix are fully balanced at 1600 W for the XXL model and 1400 W for the X model, with Class D digital amplifiers. Features include multi-band limiting, perfect balancing, and advanced reconstruction filters.
SuperSub X Model
The Ultra-Compact SuperSub X model uses the same dual-firing speaker system, but includes two opposing active speakers horizontally and two opposing sub-minor radios vertically. The U.S. press was impressed with the first listening.
