    In Mac it never plugged in. Besides the fact that the computer does not extend the screen, from what I understood, it doesn't even connect to function as an extension cable with the additional ports it has.

    In the Lenovo Yoga 720, I tried the HDMI and it worked 100%. Then I connected a USB hub (mouse, keyboard, HDD) to the Powertech USB port and everything worked (including the HDMI). Disconnecting and reconnecting the Powertech to the laptop, nothing worked. I removed the power supply from the (Chinese) USB hub and everything works at 100%.
