Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is a fantastic farming simulation game that incorporates social elements such as friendship and marriage. Players take on the management of their own farm, taking care of animals and successfully growing produce for sale.

The story follows a character with a dream of managing his own farm. As his family moves constantly, he decides to pursue his dream by moving near his uncle's farm, who is willing to teach him. He must convince his father that farming life is the right direction for him.

• Collection of wild products like avocado, lupins, vanilla, and mulberry.
• Build and place Farm Circle items to activate special effects.
• Upgrade your tools to check their weight, range, volume, and color.
• Meet other players on Connection Island for chatting, fishing, and trading items.
• Weather conditions vary from your farm to all three towns.

The game supports 3D viewing on the Nintendo 3DS screen, and players can choose a female or male character, clothing style, and hair and eye color at the start of the game. There is an option for difficulty between Seedling Mode and Veteran mode.
