I come from very cheap speakers but in the past, I had studio ones.
They may be considered older technology plus I had speakers that cost 100 euros.
These speakers are truly fantastic; I hadn't heard such sound in my home for years. They surpass even some (maybe not all) studio-level speakers at the same price.
I easily set up the speakers, and anyone who has a problem with the sound should watch videos on YouTube about how to position them and where because it changes the sound.
The placement I did made the windows rattle from the bass, which is crystal clear, and even though the music from YouTube is compressed, it is filtered by the speakers and sounds pristine.
However, they will definitely shine with uncompressed sound; in short, they can also be used for a mini studio to get a good idea of how your music sounds.
I played my own music and was thrilled. My mom and I clearly heard our voices as well as all the instruments.
The age of a computer and its sound card also plays a role. Coincidentally, my new computer arrived the same day, and I am very satisfied with both the quality and the price.
So keep all this in mind when you purchase them to avoid disappointment.

I have had the speakers for a week now and I can say that they are amazing. Previously, I had the Logitech Z533 (priced at 80 euros) and the sound is not comparable between them.

The Edifier speakers are very high-quality as they have a wooden cabinet and they are heavy for their size. The subwoofer is very powerful and heavy. The sound they produce is very nice, crystal clear even at maximum volume (with a high-quality music file). The subwoofer fills the entire room with low frequencies and I have its volume set at the middle, if I increase it, everything starts to rattle as if a train is passing by. The speakers can provide even more volume if I activate the sound card's preamp, but at high volume, it distorts. Either way, they don't need a preamp, they are already very powerful.

They have 4 wired connections (2 RCA, 1 optical, 1 coaxial) and Bluetooth. You can control them either from the wireless remote control or from the side. One small detail about the speakers, one is passive and the other is active, I imagine one takes power from the other.

If you can afford 260 euros for computer speakers (although they can be used anywhere), they are worth it. I imagine more expensive speakers will have even better sound, with electronics, you get what you pay for in the end.

I have changed many speakers from 5.1 to 2.1 and 2.0, these specific speakers are the best I have ever had. The build quality is excellent, the remote control is beautiful, and the speakers are perfect decorations for the office. Let's move on to the most important part, it can be connected in all possible ways. I have connected them with toslink (optical) and the sound is very powerful without distorting. The highs and mids sound crystal clear, and as for the bass produced by the subwoofer, it is simply incredible, even a bit more than necessary if you want, because it has controls for bass intensity and treble as well. For the price it asks and for a PC that I have personally connected it to, mainly for listening to music but also for movies and games, I think it is the best in its category. I have them connected to an external sound card, Soundblaster. A little tip, when I had them connected with optical fiber, they didn't play too loudly, so I connected them to the aux with RCA and they play much louder! I am amazed at how crystal clear they are and how clean all frequencies sound, and as for the volume, I can't believe they play so loudly. I have them in a 20 square meter room, but they are comfortable even for a 50 square meter living room.

I publicly declare that the Edifier S350DB is the highest quality 2.1 multimedia sound system for PC that I have ever heard in my life. Far superior to the equivalent systems of well-known peripheral manufacturers for PC (you know what I mean). I have had it for 3 days now and I am sitting with my mouth open, listening to songs that I didn't play before because they didn't touch me acoustically through the previous 2.1 "plastic" system that I had... Honestly, I am amazed at how high fidelity, warm, sweet, and airy the sound of the Edifier is. In terms of appearance (subjective), I find it beautiful, combining retro design with a modern look. Below, I will describe my impressions as a mini review:

Satellites --- They are 2-way, with real tweeters (0.75 inches) for the highs and small woofers (3.5 inches) for the mid-lows. The cabinets are wooden, bass reflex design, with the port located at the back. The weight of each satellite is about 2.5 kilograms, with the center of gravity located in the front, due to the speakers. If you hold them in your hands and lift them, you will feel that they are very sturdy, high-quality speakers.

Subwoofer --- It is also in a wooden cabinet, bass reflex design, with the port located on the right side. Its speaker is 8 inches, resulting in comfortable movement of the air, providing powerful, yet high-quality response to low frequencies. Its weight (hold on) exceeds 11 kilograms and, as expected, the center of gravity is in the front. On the back, you will find all the connectors through which it is connected to the two satellites, the power source, and the audio sources.

Connectivity --- Nothing is missing! Two analog inputs (PC/AUX), two wired digital inputs (coaxial and optical), as well as wireless connection via Bluetooth, supporting the new aptX audio codec from Qualcomm. AptX support is important if you want to maximize fidelity in transmitting sound via Bluetooth. I tested it with my Huawei P30 Pro and the sound was high-quality and the connection was immediate and stable. It doesn't ask for a code, you just pair it and you're ready. Then the device (e.g. mobile phone) remembers it, so you simply activate Bluetooth and you have direct sound from the Edifier.

Convenience --- There are controls for bass, treble, and volume on the right side of the right satellite. The controls for bass/treble are analog (potentiometers), whose rotation smoothly "brakes" in the middle of their range (at 0 dB) so that you know where the flat setting is. The volume control is digital (endless encoder), which, if pressed, allows you to select the active audio input or turn the entire system on/standby. The good thing about all this is that you don't need to go near the subwoofer at all, all the settings are done from the right satellite. Additionally, there is a nice infrared remote control, through which you can adjust the volume, control the media player of the connected Bluetooth device, select the active audio input, mute the sound, and turn the entire system on/standby. It is very convenient because you have it on your desk and you can do everything from it.

Build quality --- Excellent! Sturdy, wooden cabinets with impeccable finish, everything assembled perfectly, without any flaws whatsoever. The controls on the right speaker rotate smoothly. The LEDs of the indicators are at the right brightness and in white color (not multicolored like other "sound systems" like "Circo Medrano"). Something I have to mention is that the system was very well packaged in a double box (box inside another box, from Edifier itself), with soft covers inside the speakers to prevent them from being damaged during transportation.

Sound fidelity --- This is where the system "shines"... One word (in English): outstanding! High airy and "crystal", warm and clear mids, rich and punchy lows, without being irregular and chaotically noisy. Guys, I really don't know how to describe this experience, in my ears it surpasses my harman/kardon 5.1 system. Right now, I'm listening to Norah Jones' album "Come Away With Me" and I'm getting lost in a magical symphony of sounds and instruments! All of this I'm saying is with completely flat settings on the PC and the speakers (bass/treble at the middle position of 0 dB). I know I sound exaggerated, if you don't believe me, go to a store that has it on demo and listen to it yourselves. You will understand exactly what I mean.

Negatives --- The right speaker has an integrated cable that ends in a DB15 connector (fifteen pins), like the ones on VGA cables. This is necessary to transfer all the audio and control signals between the subwoofer and the right satellite. The problem is that this cable is not very long (around 1.5 to 2 meters), which limits you a bit in choosing the position of the subwoofer in relation to the rest of the system. I don't know if VGA cable extensions work, they might work, but because analog audio signals also pass through them, I would hesitate to tamper with this connection. Luckily, I have it in my office so there was no problem with placement, but I mention it for those who need to have the subwoofer far away from the right satellite. Another negative is that the remote control, although beautiful and of high quality, is completely round, so you don't know which way it's "facing" when you hold it in your hands without looking at it. A minor flaw, but I mention it so you know that the shape might bother you a little.

In conclusion --- A very commendable choice for a quality multimedia 2.1 system for PC, which can easily play the role of the main hi-fi system in your room. Edifier may not have the prestige of other top companies like harman/kardon, etc., but it's worth listening to this particular system and judging for yourself if it will meet your needs. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend it.

The edifier makes quality constructions so I didn't have many doubts before buying. In the end, they turned out to be very good, the sound is very clear like other edifier speakers. The bass/sub is to my liking (I don't want it overpowering), it's not very powerful, even at maximum volume the sound is "humble" for its size - the walls won't shake. However, it produces a sweet bass that resonates in harmony with the other sounds and whenever it needs to, it increases without becoming unpleasant. It has a bass/treble control so you can adjust it according to your taste. It doesn't go below 35-40hz successfully. Finally, I would like the satellite drivers to be bigger, but still the sound is not "tiny" like with small computer speakers.

- I'm coming back after about 4 years:

The speakers still work perfectly. Over time, the sound continues to improve. Their strength is their bass in my opinion, which is not boomy like, for example, in logitech speakers, but "sweet" and doesn't overpower the other frequencies. Also, the sound is towards the bright side without being tiring. Personally, I use them with -1 treble, -1 bass. They are for desktop use, but even a medium-sized room fills with sound if you want!

Some additional observations: It remains an excellent purchase for their price (consider that a good sub alone starts from ~300€). The speakers are for computers.

With the sub, do many tests until you find the sweet spot. There are corresponding videos on YouTube. Don't stick the drivers to the wall behind them. If you have stands, even better. If you have a desktop, a relatively good sound card will make a noticeable difference.

The speakers have both 3.5mm and optical inputs. In the optical input, it uses the DAC of the speakers themselves, which is excellent (I can't distinguish a difference from my sound blaster's DAC).
