    I used it through a Neve 1073-style replica preamp. The sound is simply fantastic. In contrast to the Rode NT-2A that I know well, it has a much better and smooth response across the entire frequency spectrum. In the 300+- category, it's unbelievable, I haven't encountered a sound that I like so much for this price.
