Κανονικά, όπως σε κάθε λεία, μη πορώδη επιφάνεια, αρκεί να είναι καθαρή από βρωμιές ή σκόνη ώστε να λειτουργήσει η αρνητική πίεση και να δημιουργηθεί το κενό αέρα μεταξύ της επιφάνειας και του suction cup.
