Specifications
Despite the "Akathist" research, a veil of mystery continues to cover the poet and the era of the composition of the Akathist hymn.
It may seem strange, but we are not even certain about the text itself, which one might think we know well, as we often cannot distinguish the original writing among the variations provided by the manuscripts.
Precisely on the issue of the text's compilation, the book seeks to draw the attention of both specialists and non-specialists. Furthermore, metrics problems are discussed, while readers interested in other aspects of the research will also find a guide for navigating the labyrinthine bibliography of the Akathist.
